As yesterday there is a problem with the MPS to start the machine. We are trying to investigate whether it is related to the vacuum or something else.
Problem with the solenoid COL.01 (Internal Interlock Hard).
Help is needed.
At this moment, apparently we are blocked by the closed vacuum valve of the FPC. To be checked with Nourredine (emails sent).
The vaccum level in the FPC is not yet good to open the valve. Eric will check it.
10h10 Switched to the Linac+TL+EL configuration. HV is on (the modulator was in the local mode). Interlocks even at HV 1200 V, the sect att. 3 dB. Linac 04 vac is high.
10h33 There are breakdowns at 26 dB the section att. and 25 dB of the RF gun att. These are not in vacuum breakdowns. Probably it is the klystron problem.

Maher is coming to check the klystron and Jean-Noel is working on the solenoid power supplies.

Start with the receipt nominal. problem with the RF gun laser camera. Solved.
Going to the new receipt for Isol = 242 A
Tuning injection. Good storage.
We performed sveral scans with FPC. The measured vert beam siwe is about 82 um. The best X-ray fluc I3+I4 was about 30-40 kpA.
The size at MRSv hor/vert is about 15/19 pixels
Starting from a certain moment, the trig to trig injection stability changed. See the screenshot. This to be understood.
Going to nominal receipt. After the tuning of the injection, the good storage is obtained. Size at MRSV 15/24 pixels
measurements of the dispersion and LOCO studies. First without sextupoles and later with. To be continued.
Going back to new receipt Isol = 242 A. Storage is bad. Retuning of the TL and injeciton. Good storage is obtained with good tunes 0.17/0.7.
Studies with X-rays will be continued tomorrow.
dispersion and beta function measurement as tunes are seems to be quite stable

Goal: Vertical orbit and angle at the IP with I3 and I4 X-ray signals
8h55 Switch ON the modulator and all the machine
Camera SST2 : impossible de changer le temps d'expo and SST3 not started 
- Phase max Q = 333° with Q = 130 pC
- Phase Sec : 203° and Att = 2.46 dB

With the previously saved receipt, the injection and charge of the stored beam was quite bad. We tried several receipts. We tried to tune the ring till ~16h.
The FPC was operated in synchronous mode with the power twice less as typical value.
The TL transport was different from previously used. We should try to keep the same orbit in the TL for reproducibility.
The FPC scan showed the two peaks structure => to be understood.
Then, we re-loaded the lattice from folder Reference (changed the laser position @photocathode). With the energy-phase adjustments we arrived to the resonable conditions. The FPC scan is attached.
Both I3 and I4 were recorded/displayed during the shift. In this configuraiton, the X-ray signal was mainly maximized and I3 ~7k-8k pA (I4~ a few hundreds of pA).
The vertical orbit was modifief to have zero angle at the IP. See the plot attached.
In this configuraiton, the X-ray signal was almost equally shared between I3 and I4 ~ 1k pA.
A proper conditions and FoM should be defined for further optimization procedures.

All rondes are broken, THOMX key is turned. What is the reason of this intervention?, There is nobody around. Jean-Noel came and helped to solve the problems.
Help is needed to set up everythiing (rondes sous-sol, PSS....) and tune the photocathode laser. |

Niveaux de vide pendant le conditionnement :
- toujours le vide 1, à l'avant du Canon qui domine
- Pas de claquages aux valeurs de puissance atteintes, environ 150 kW
- Vide / sécurité : Les pompes ioniques ont été mises en local afin de mettre le seuil d'interlock à 10E-7 mBar
- les interlocks n'ont pas fonctionné
- pour que les interlock fonctionnent, il faut se mettre en reseau profibus, mais le seuil passe alors à 5E-6 mBar.
- Le vide (Jauges) a toujours une structure temporelle de periode 2 min environ
- Le RGA a été démarré en soirée pour Lundi
- Un boitier jauge a été mis en place dans la casemate pour comprendre la structure temporelle des signaux de vide (en trouver la cause)
- Côté CC :
- pour éviter des soucis avec les modifications des valeurs des atténuations, le changement de la valeur pourra se faire par les fleches par valeur de 0.5 dB
