10h Starting the beam
Tuning of the TL
We started from the last Friday setting and the beam storage was not succefull.
Optimization of the storage. The RF freq was set to 500.424 MHz. RF voltage was 40-100 kV
After several optimizations, the good storage was obtained ~15h
The final RF freq 500.4099 MHz
The data was taken concerning the betatron oscillations. Should be analysed offline.

11h30 Problem with water regulation. Probably falseread of GUN PT100. Hayg and Viktor is tryig to adjust manually the temperature of the chiller for RF gun. We stopped at the settings as attached.
12h20 Trying to set-up the beam
13h Problem with the Linac Trigger Laser delay, laser pulse is after the RF pulse end (see screenshot attached). We tried to ajust the delays but inthis case the dark current is very large ~80 pC, bigger then the actual beam charge. We came back to the initial settings.
Not clear what has been changed since yesterday. Need help from the injector team.
15h30 Problem is solved. It was the wrong value of the Largeur pulse HT. The nominal value is 5 us.
16h Setting the injector and try to inject in the ring
Optimization of the TL. It would be really good to have the
- Closed dispersion
- Beam centered in the QUADs (at least 2 last ones)
The TL was set, so that we can inject with almost no losses (see screenshot)
Was difficult to get several turns. It turnned out that the kicket timig was not correct. Not clear who chqnge it.
19h We reistablished the storage and try to optimize it.

Beam is injected in the ring.
Problem to start the RF cavity (no injected power, the delta f jumps a lot and the motor position can not converge). Mohamed is contacted.
Problem to restart the DS for the control of the FP cavity table. The CC team is contacted. We are waiting for intervention.

11h25 Modulator on stand by
Thanks to Kevin and Mohamed the RF cavity is OK. Restqrt of te beam.
In parallel, Vincent, Ronic and Kevin are investigating the sunchro with the FPC.
The injector is very unstable in energy (random slow change on the TL BPM 2 + usual problem with attenuator ) and LIL phase change/drift (from 114 to 88 deg. during the day). Presence of misstrigering from time to time during the day.
For a certain parameters, a good storage was obtained. But then, due to change of injector parameters the conditions were not kept. Work on the BBA.
Very difficult to work in such conditions, especially on BBA.

Laser phase adjustment during the shift a few times
Work on the BBA at 70 MeV
For this, measurement of the ORM. There is a differennce with the model ORM. Attempts to tune the ring from the model. Work should be continued.
Due to this, only manual BBA can be done at the moment.
Starting also to adress the manual BBA in the TL. We used HCOR2 and QP5 and TL BPM.03. The results are not clear (big element-to-element distances). To be continued.

At given ring settings, the MRSV size is highly dependent on the DPI, septum, and kicker settings, which are determined by the injection energy (Sect. att. and line phasing).
A combination of DPI, septum, and kicker settings should be adjusted to reduce the MRSV size.
12h35 The laser spot has moved outside the screen!!! Help needed!!!

Additional research showed that F=500.10045 MHz is suitable for ring operation.
