La synchro a été testée ce matin:

Il y avait effectuvement un pB de faux contact qui empechait la synchro de fonctionner.

 

Pour ce qui est de l'interface Fréquence Synchro:

le choix des fréquences fonctione... il est un peu récalcitrant... il faut parfois valider (bien cliquer sur le choix dans le menu déroulant) plusieurs fois les fréquences  de gauche à droite (de mémoire modulateur , linac, ring, diag,)

Les fréquences 25 10 5 hz sont dispo pour le linac

dipole RI-C1-DP.01 perturbe la synchro quandcourant est à I=236A  (c'est reproductible)  (236A était la valeur enregistrée)

démarrage de toutes les alims (avec une recette anneau) sauf RI-C1-DP.01 => synchro OK

Le pb apparrait progressivement quand on augmente le courant (plutot régulier à partir de 200A) 

On va prendre un cafe et ensuite on va redemarrer la machine

Au redemarrage le probleme reapparait quand on met du courant dans dip_TL.

Test de toutes les alims dipole

Le pB synchro semble en fait lié aux courants délivrés par toutes les alims des dipoles (cf les screenshots des signaux sur bpmLI)
Je pense qu'il est beaucoup plus visible et frequent avec les dipoles ANNEAU car les 8 s'allument en meme temps

Test de l'alim SOLENO : idem probleme de synchro quand on va a fort courant (cf screenshot SOLENO)

Le dernier screenshot c'est :
Soleno OFF et tous les dipoles OFF sauf le EL_DP01 (qu'on ne peut pas eteindre sinon on n'a plus lautorisation de tir)

la sortie d'urgence porte casemate a été appuyé ce matin.... ça bloque la ronde

16H... le timing a sauté pendant quelques secondes et est revenu tout seul
16H15 le 50Hz c'est mis à mal fonctionner ... replug des sondes dans le chassis (scope R&S 162.168.229.80)
tout refonctionne...

160pC à charge Max (67°)

Passage section : charge transmise a 100%
  * seulement pour SOLENO 220-230
  * qq soit l'alignement (section ou quads)
  * qq soit l'ouverture d'iris.

Sautes de faisceaux toujours presentes toutes les 2-3 minutes

Fin de shift.

A 13h30 j'ai tent'e de faire un acces controle dans la casemate.

Quand j'ai pris la 1ere clef une alarme (son inhabituel) s'est declenchee au niveau de la fosse sud avec un chenillard rouge sur les verrines (fooses nord, sud et klystron).

J'ai appele le SPR comme explique hier.

Je suis tombe sur un repondeur...

Jean-Noel a tourne des clefs sur le PSS et l'alarme s'est arretee.

Plusieurs rondes sont tombees.

Study of the injection and of long decays with the streak camera, cf images. Horizontal scale is 2ms, vertical scale is 600ps.

Operating the streak camera create instabilities on the ring 500MHz that may cause phase problems.

As yesterday there is a problem with the MPS to start the machine. We are trying to investigate whether it is related to the vacuum or something else.

Problem with the solenoid COL.01 (Internal Interlock Hard).

Help is needed.

At this moment, apparently we are blocked by the closed vacuum valve of the FPC. To be checked with Nourredine (emails sent).

The vaccum level in the FPC is not yet good to open the valve. Eric will check it.

10h10 Switched to the Linac+TL+EL configuration. HV is on (the modulator was in the local mode). Interlocks even at HV 1200 V, the sect att. 3 dB. Linac 04 vac is high.  

10h33 There are breakdowns at 26 dB the section att. and 25 dB of the RF gun att. These are not in vacuum breakdowns. Probably it is the klystron problem.

10h50 The modulator is in the standby mode.

Maher is coming to check the klystron and Jean-Noel is working on the solenoid power supplies.

11h40 Maher fixed problem with the klystron by increasing the filament power. At 84 kV, I = 48.7 A (microperveance 2.0). At 293 kV, I = 294 A (microperveance 1.85, should be 2.0).

The problem with MPS is the OC/AVAL02 FP valve. It is in two states at the same time: Closed and Open.

11h HV ON. We do not see the RF signals, even  the baselines (RedPitaya). The Wevecatchers are also not triggered. probably problem with timing or their configs. Help is needed !!!

Apparently, there was the electricity cut. Help is also needed with the RF cavity.

Problem with Air Comprime => Solved !

Mochamed fixed RF amplifier, but it gives only 10.7 kV.

There is the remaining field from the dipoles in the TL. In order to go straight to the dump, the idea was to cycle the dipole to have 0 field. We have tried the cyclage given by the ALBA peopel/Cynthia. Total time ~ 17 min. After two cycling, the remaining filed alwayd stays at ~20 G.

After discussion of Jean-Noel with Fabrice Marteau, this turned out normal situation given the unipolar PS of the dipoles. The remaining filed is kind in agreement with B(I) found in excel files provided long time ago by Cynthia.

The information concerning the dipole cycling from Cynthia is attached.

We would like to cycle the quadrupoles in the linac. The procedure of the cycling was provided by Cynhia (attached). 

The magnet current should be ramped from 0 to IMAX , decreased down 0 and ramped back to IMAX three more times. Measurement current will be finally reached going to nominal current ISet. (IMAX  = 12 A).  

Total cycling time is ~8 min [so ~1 min for 0 to IMAX, and the same for IMAX to 0). Waiting time at IMAX & I=0 is ~10 sec.

More probably this procedure is driven by the fact that the B(I) curves were provided for the positve values of I only I = 0..+12


As it was discussed with Cynthia: In order to set the negative current (defocusing quadrupole magnets), the  cycling procedure should be reversed. 

When the calibration curves [-12 A +12 A] will be available, the procedure has to be the following. The magnet current should be ramped from 0 to IMAX , decreased down to -IMAX and then ramped again up to IMAX. 

Measurement current will be finally reached going to nominal current ISet. (IMAX  = 12 A).  Total cycling time is ~6 min [so ~1 min for 0 to IMAX, and the same for IMAX to - IMAX). Waiting time at IMAX & I=0 is ~10 sec.

We made the cycling for the QUAD qnd still we have 5-10 G of the remaining field. To be understood....
