No RF signals. The same problem.

Vacuum problem in the half ring; same as on Friday. Solved by Eric.

Problem with SEPTUM. It does not start.

RF cavity in the Ring can be se only to 10 kV. We can not set other voltage. Maher checked, probably the rror with profibus. Hep is needed.

Cameras do not work corretly, so it is difficult to adjust the energy spread of the beam.

Septum problem prevents us to inject in the ring.

I am trying to check the beam charge using TL/FC01. The cable from wac02/ch0 (A9 on cross-panel #xxx) was connected to the oscilloscope CH2 (impedance 1 MΩ). According to Vincent, the cable length is 31 m, and the capacitance is 2.5e-9 F. At the operating point, the dark current and the beam charged the cable (approximately 6 μs after triggering) to -35.69 mV. The dark current alone charges the cable to -13.7 mV (with the screen inserted). Therefore, the beam charge is Q=C*V=2.5e-9*22e-3=55e-12 C. With the screen inserted - DeltaV=22.7 mV. The first attempt to change the position of the beam does not increase this voltage significantly (but reduces it at large displacements). Reducing the solenoid current to 180 A increases the voltage on the cable, but the DeltaV remains almost the same: 23.3 mV (58 pC). Thus, there is a certain discrepancy between ICT measurements and result of these measurements that needs to be understood.

17h35 The RF resonator is now working. But the RF resonator DS does not show the frequency. It is necessary also to adjust the phase of the resonator.

As yesterday there is a problem with the MPS to start the machine. We are trying to investigate whether it is related to the vacuum or something else.

Problem with the solenoid COL.01 (Internal Interlock Hard).

Help is needed.

At this moment, apparently we are blocked by the closed vacuum valve of the FPC. To be checked with Nourredine (emails sent).

The vaccum level in the FPC is not yet good to open the valve. Eric will check it.

10h10 Switched to the Linac+TL+EL configuration. HV is on (the modulator was in the local mode). Interlocks even at HV 1200 V, the sect att. 3 dB. Linac 04 vac is high.  

10h33 There are breakdowns at 26 dB the section att. and 25 dB of the RF gun att. These are not in vacuum breakdowns. Probably it is the klystron problem.

Maher is coming to check the klystron and Jean-Noel is working on the solenoid power supplies.
