Shift started at 18h
With the current injector settings, it was difficult to inject. We loaded the settings from last Friday 30/09 (19-22-04).
Principal steps:
- Correction of the one quadrupole polarity this morning
-injection tuning, observation of Turn-by-Turn-X, Turn-by-Turn-Y and Sum
-quads focusing, defocusing +-.0.5%
-iterative manual adjustments of corrctors, DPI, Septum, Kicker
-orbit correction with open line model response matrix
- several datasets taken for further postprocessing
Beam is stored !!!!! ~400 turns (limited by the Libera response)
Stored beam, visible more than 300 turns, signal decay as estimated due to Libera cutoff filters. To store more, RF cavity should be used.
Stable closed orbit!
Important milestone is achieved.
No losses at scintillator/fiber except for the injection, see oscilloscope screenshot.
Current machine settings are stored in recipe_recipe_LI_TL_RI_20221003_20_24_01.txt
Orbit is stable for more than one hour. End of the shift.

BPM LINAC + TL : dispersion tir a tir ? | |
Aujourd'hui Iriya m'a montre en salle de controle une "etendue" de ~4mm de l'orbite du faisceau mesuree sur le premier bpm de l'injection (celui appele bpm 2 je crois) sur une vingtaine de tirs. Ca semblait pareil pour 500 tirs, i.e. ~4 mm). C'est beaucoup ... (Iryna peut-etre pourrais-tu mettre ce que tu m'as montre dans le elog ?)
--> Ce que je suggere de faire des que possible (vu avec Hayg) : un script permettant de mesurer cette etendue de l'orbite tir a tir sur les 5 BPM LINAC + TL, pour voir si cette dispersion est presente qq part avant, ou bien si elle est creee seulement au niveau de l'injection.

Need help from Maher to restart the pre-ampli.
16h34 Up to now, the beam was transported only till TL/SST.02. Very often we observed interlock (something happen in the IGLOO ?). After this probably the pre-ampli stopped operating. This is our observation. Moreover, several mistriggers.
For the RF cavity, there is the problem to set the Voltage. It can be done only manually by Mohamed.
The control of the iris thouth the ELLO com4 does not work. It says "COM4 not available".
Shift program even has not started.

Laser phase adjustment during the shift a few times
Work on the BBA at 70 MeV
For this, measurement of the ORM. There is a differennce with the model ORM. Attempts to tune the ring from the model. Work should be continued.
Due to this, only manual BBA can be done at the moment.
Starting also to adress the manual BBA in the TL. We used HCOR2 and QP5 and TL BPM.03. The results are not clear (big element-to-element distances). To be continued.

Automatique "health check" | |
Allumage de client 5. Pourquoi était-il éteint sachant qu'il y a des ds qui doivent tourner dessus ?
Lancement du processus de mise a jour automatique de l'état de la machine (health_check) sur client 5.
En cas de soucis le bouton "Force update" permet de lancer une procédure de verification de l'état de la machine manuellement.
(Un pull sur /data/sharde/... a été fait pour prendre en compte de très vieille modification de l'IHM)
Démarrage du ds CALC pour les mesures de charge (CALC/ICT/Charge_...)
Erreur vanne jauge aquité
WaveCatcher en état FAULT -> Discussion avec Irayna et Slava pour les remettrent en état.
Le seul autre equipement avec un "problème" est le laser qui est éteint. Viktor est la est doit l'allumer. |

--> Le faisceau est detecte sur BPMTL2 et sur YAGTL2 pour I_DIPOLE = 143 A ce qui, avec les caracteristique du dipole, correspond a une energie sortie section de 45.5 MeV |
