Les phases rigol où il y a des pertes se repetent tous les 24 degrees avec une largeur de 6degrees. Reproductible sur plusieurs mesures.
Changement de la frequence anneau: + 4.5kHz, delta phase=52degrees
Etude des coups manqués en fonction de la phase du dephaseur rigol. (cf plot)
C'est a nouveau reproductible tous les 24 degrees mais a des phases differentes.
Changement de fréquence de sonnerie plus : + 4,5 kHz, delta RF Phase 43 dg. (99 dg. on the limit)
**Si vous avez un probleme de coups manqués, faites +12 degrees sur le dephaseur Rigol. Un bouton a ete ajouté sur l'IHM Ring Cavity**
Analyse de l'amplitude des pulses du septum (cf plot en mode persistance): Bruit de l'ordre de 5mV sur 850mV.
Le kicker tire quand l'impulsion du septum n'est pas au maximum.
16h30 EL quads: [-3.67; 4.2; 0.0; -4.08; 3.8; 2.57; -2.54] A (from simulation). Ext. kiker 7422 V. There is image on the EL SST.01 (saved).

Image processing results from the EL/DG/SST.01 camera. The resolution of the target image is 9.8 μm/pixel (horizontally).
The rms width of the horizontal beam profile (Gaussian approximation) is 325 pixels or 3.2 mm (see the figure uploaded). The simulated dispersion at the screen is about 1 m, so the rms energy spread is 0.32%. |

11h Optilization of the beam for injection. Beam is unstable, what is seen fro, the x/y position trends in the TL. Then, from time to time the beam is not injected in the ring causing the jumps in the signal intensity ???
12h Hayg helped to find the good conditions and we started to inject in the ring but still with the not stable beam.
14h We try to store the beam by optimizing the parameters of the RF cavity => approaching the good storage. Suddenly the beam changed the parameters and we lost injection.
16h Trying to reestablish the injection and perform the optimization AGAIN
17h Difficult to restore the storage: beam from injector is not stable and therefore difficult to see the effect from the ring studies
18h After several studies, we found the proper RF frequency for current ring settings 500.4259 MHz
With ~20 kV obtained storage is about 15 ms measured with the additional electrode on the scope. Libera several times went down and had to be restarted.
The injection is not stable (intensity goes from 0 to max value), which makes it VERY DIFFICULT to optimize the beam storage in the ring. We added two QUAD (4 and 5) to our optimization routine.
After orbit correction the storage was 100 ms with ~20 kV RF and fRF = 500.404 MHz
Studies to be continued. More stable beam is requested from the injector.

Problem with injection kicker. Not triggering and DS says Charging power supply is OFF. Maher came to solve the problem (14h). Most probably this was a reason of only 1 turn during the last days.
15h Studies on the DPI and SEPT on the injection (1st BPM x-orbit). Compared to yesterday run, we see the good response on change of the DPI ans SEPT. The first BPM is at +(4-6) mm.
Without injection kicker, beam is lost after ~1 turn.

Preparation/check of the 70 MeV WP for X-ray run | |
Goal: preparation and checking the machine operation at 70 MeV and 40 MeV (ideally with X-rays)

In this recette the dipoles are at 253.78 A which is 2A lower than nominal current for 70 MeV. The goal is to go to the nominal value.
Phase scans, beam is transported to the ring. Only few turns.
Scan of he RF cavity phase.
scope 192.168.229.22 which used to monitor losses and charge is not accesible as someone else is connected to it from srv 3 with 192.168.229.92. We need control of this scope in the CR.
After also checking it locally, the signals were not set, cable unplugged.

Daniele worked all the afternoon with the students. FPC is changed for 70 MeV.
MRSV does not start; need help for it
Work on the 70 MeV. orbit is corrected. The final tutning should be checked with X rays.
At the end we understood thqt the EL dip is set to 159.3 A. The orbit was recorrected with only the EL dip set to 253.8 A (the difference in the orbits is shown in the scrennshot). The rest of the elements of the EL are should be scaled to 70 Mev (it will not impact the orbit as dipole)

The BLM signals during the shift were moving in time: to be understood, maybe timing problem.
