The control of the iris thouth the ELLO com4 does not work. It says "COM4 not available".

11h: essaie recette Julien, pas de charge transmise sur ict3. Faisceau très défocalisé et ligne trop fermée (très sensible aux petites variations pointé, énergie etc.)
11h30: essaie recette référence avec feedback injection ring
11h50: recette dispersion Viktor V3, dispersion -9.5cm
12h: effet stockage sur faisceau,
1) le faisceau est stocké avec la recette de référence, optimisé avec la phase cavité RF et l'energie ==> faible oscillation synchrotron mais stockage instable (grosses pertes en fin de stockage)
2) le faisceau est optimisé pour augmenté la qualité du stockage. Faible jitter d'injection et stockage stable (sans perte) mais grosses oscillations synchrotron
Les deux mesures de longueur de paquet montre qu'un mauvais stockage peut permettre d'avoir un meilleur faisceau en longitidinale alors qu'un bon stockage peu vite dégrader le faisceau. QUESTION: est ce uniquement en lien avec l'oscillation synchrotron ? Est ce que le fait que le faisceau soit vite dégradé améliore la stabilité du stockage ?
===> Au final il ne semble pas y avoir un fort impact sur les jitters en fonction des différents points de dispersion. Le point à 11h30, est le point de référence refait avec le feedback d'injection anneau, il semble moins bon.
Sur l'image le point marque la valeur moyenne et la barre d'erreur l'écart type des 100 mesures (jitter), pour BPM.02-LIB.03 (BPM1) et BPM.04-LIB.03 (BPM3)

- mean / std, de 100 acquisitions des positions BPM X et Y (des 12 BPM de l'anneau) pour le numéro buffer (0, 14, 100, 500, 1000, 1999)
- Archivage mesure le stockage et autre donnée

- image oscillations synchrotron
- image TBTsum

Injection stability en fonction de la dispersion 100 pC :
Quantify injector stability vs. TL dispersion
Goal: Understand and minimize the shot-to-shot jitter at ring injection by tuning TL dispersion.
Workflow:
Vary dispersion in the TL in a controlled way (use > 5 optics settings).
For each dispersion setting:
- Measure horizontal and vertical jitter in the ring (turn-by-turn).
- Record injected charge, storage efficiency and orbit offset at injection.
Try to match TL dispersion to ring dispersion at injection and identify the setting that minimizes jitter.
Summarise the best TL dispersion setting and assign it as standard optics.
Deliverables:
Jitter vs. TL dispersion curves.
TL optics for minimum jitter.
Beam time: ~2 shifts.

Test of the new receipt from BMAD Isol = 242 A | | 8h55: mise en chauffe (modulateur, frigo/chillers, laser, cyclage)
10h20 HV ON
Start with the receipt nominal. problem with the RF gun laser camera. Solved.
Going to the new receipt for Isol = 242 A
Tuning injection. Good storage.
We performed sveral scans with FPC. The measured vert beam siwe is about 82 um. The best X-ray fluc I3+I4 was about 30-40 kpA.
The size at MRSv hor/vert is about 15/19 pixels
Starting from a certain moment, the trig to trig injection stability changed. See the screenshot. This to be understood.
Going to nominal receipt. After the tuning of the injection, the good storage is obtained. Size at MRSV 15/24 pixels
measurements of the dispersion and LOCO studies. First without sextupoles and later with. To be continued.
Going back to new receipt Isol = 242 A. Storage is bad. Retuning of the TL and injeciton. Good storage is obtained with good tunes 0.17/0.7.
Studies with X-rays will be continued tomorrow.
dispersion and beta function measurement as tunes are seems to be quite stable
Switching on the streak camera.

Taking the spectra

An error was made during the source size measurement of the usual working point (230A), no beam size available for that recipe (from previous measurement e- [H,V] = [180, 120], to be confirmed)

The preliminary analysis show that the bunch length seems to not be affected by the recipe used. The 230A recipe show a longer bunch but it is not very significatif due to the machine stability.
