8h: mise en chauffe à distance (chiller/frigo, modulateur, laser, cyclage)
9h Start of the machine at 70 Mev, Charge 95 pC
10h Start from the previous receipt for 70 MeV (see June, 6). Beam is injected only for about 50 turns. Try to understand the problem. It seems that the energy from the injector + injection by itself does not match the saved receipt.
It was observed that the x-position at TL BPM2 sometimes changes in kind of steps (perhaps effect of regulation ?), see screenshot.
Orbit correction.
After several iterations the good storage obtained similar to June,6. The vertical orbit is flat at the IP. The receipts are saved.
We performed the vertical FPC scan. The vert beam size is 122 um. The max signal measured I3+I4 = 40k pA
We started to increase the charge to investigate the linearity in X-ray flux. Due to the problem with phtocathode laser the max charge achieved is 225 pC. The obtained results are plotted and attached (the data should be available via archivage)
Up to 225 pC the linearity is quite good.
The EL is set for 70 MeV as well and the beam is seen on the EL SST.
it was observed that the EL dipole affects the SR beam via orbit distortion. The SR orbit was recorrected to account for this effect. The receipt is saved for the whole machine.
